My name is Amanda. I am attending Ohio University where I am majoring in Digital Media, which will hopefully enable me to go on to become a video game designer.

I have a strange fascination with lighting, I tend to trip over my own feet fairly often, I find playing Pokemon to be therapeutic, and I love this obscure series of novels that you've probably never heard of.

gah. asldfkjalsgj lsjgasdg Trying to teach myself how to code a game? Not as successful at it as I would’ve hoped. Welp, so much for what I was potentially wanting to do with my life… no big deal. Hopefully I will find an unlikely talent in 3d animating or actually become semi-proficient in speaking Japanese (also unlikely considering how much I stumble over my words when speaking English…)

Probably should’ve gone with an engineering major like I was originally planning. That’s something that I could actually have been good at…. although considering my lovely programming skills, maybe not…. Can’t wait to write that Japanese essay about what I want to do with my life, because I don’t even realistically know at this point…

So, I was reading through my comments the other day when I came across one that really disturbed me…This girl is really pretty. NO HOMO. I know what you’re thinking “It’s 2012 who still says that”. I thought the same thing too. But for those of you who don’t know. No Homo is a qualifier that is used to assure your present company that you are not in fact a homosexual. Because this phrase makes my skin crawl. I decided to make up a few qualifiers of my own and with your help I hope that I can make these really popular in 2012. - Chescaleigh

Pro-choice isn’t synonymous with pro-death. Being pro-choice means protecting women’s access to safe, legal abortion. It also means working on ways to help reduce the need for abortion, like improving access to birth control.

Yes, another Drive poster. However, this might be the best execution we’ve seen of incorporating the hammer as a double read. Well done indeed.
Anyone know who did this one?

Awesome poster. Awesome move.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

Inspired, in equal measures, by Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books, “Morris Lessmore” is a story of people who devote their lives to books and books who return the favor.

Please, set aside 15 minutes of your time to watch this amazingly brilliant short animation. I can’t even describe how beautiful, heartfelt, and nostalgic it was to watch. Because of how many awards it has won and nominated for, they also made it an interactive book for the iPad (here). You can also view it for free on your itunes (here). I’m telling you, for all my book lovers, librarians, authors, writers, anybody who has ever loved a book, this short was made for you. Watch it.

I saw this at the film festival last year and it blew me away. Glad to watch it again, still amazed me the 2nd time.
